About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver products through the full lifecycle, from requirements definition through to acceptance
- Work within a matrix team to develop procurement strategies and refine requirements for training devices
- Support training devices through the procurement lifecycle
- Act as Raytheon representative overseeing and coordinating subcontractors responsible for detailed design, development and delivery of training devices
- Define work packages and technical requirements with the Solution Architect
- Individually contribute to execution and delivery of key work packages
- Undertake activities associated with product specification and qualification
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to procure and implement advanced training devices
- Contribute to team-level problem resolution
- Contribute to and improve planned system operation
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes and procedures
- Champion and foster Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance and continuous improvement
- Travel to support internal and customer meetings and duties
- Perform other duties required to meet programme needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- A relevant degree or equivalent training
- Strong experience in systems engineering, ideally on all elements of the V-model
- Experience with systems engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques
- Experience writing scopes of work and acceptance criteria
- Knowledge of the development of Systems of Systems
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to solve problems
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time with a valid driving licence
- Experience with Atlassian suite, Jira and Confluence (desirable)
- Experience of working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model (desirable)
- Awareness of NAFv4 and/or TOGAF (desirable)
- Experience of training devices (desirable)
- Must either currently hold or be eligible and willing to gain BPSS and SC clearance
