About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead day-to-day shift operations
Coordinate personnel assignments and prioritize maintenance activities
Ensure operational tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with mission requirements
Oversee LET preventive maintenance activities and ensure requirements are planned, coordinated, executed, and documented
Monitor equipment performance and identify emerging reliability concerns
Coordinate corrective actions to sustain system availability and minimize operational downtime
Provide technical leadership, daily operational coordination, and mission execution oversight
Support a 24/7 mission environment and rotating 12-hour shifts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience
Experience performing maintenance, operations, or field service in complex technical environments
Experience with system integration, verification, validation, and supportability analysis
LET 2, LET 4, and LET 5 Operator certifications
Active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship required
Experience serving as a Shift Lead or in a technical leadership role within a 24/7 mission-critical operations and maintenance environment preferred
Experience with LET preventive maintenance procedures, equipment operation, system troubleshooting, and operational readiness preferred
Experience leading anomaly response efforts and restoring system functionality preferred
Experience mentoring operations and maintenance personnel preferred
Experience in configuration management, technical documentation, maintenance records, operational procedures, and equipment change control preferred
Ability to support rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to safely ascend and work at heights using ladders and elevated work platforms
Ability to handle equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physically intensive tasks
