About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as technical leader of small to medium engineering development teams
- Perform full life-cycle systems engineering tasks, including system requirements analysis, definition, architecture design, trade studies, integration, verification and validation, formal testing, and software installation
- Work with systems engineering subject matter experts to solve critical technical problems with innovative solutions
- Support software development projects involving multi-sensor and information fusion, networked situational awareness, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and visualization technologies
- Travel to customer sites as needed
- Attend select interview steps in person at an office location if requested
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience as lead systems or test engineer on a software development program
- Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1
- Experience with Link 16 Tactical Data Link, Command and Control, Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems, Combat/Fire Control Systems, Aegis, or SSDS Mk II preferred
- Experience with systems-of-systems software integration and testing across Linux, Windows, virtual machines, and containers preferred
- Experience with Java, C++, Linux shells, PowerShell, and Python preferred
- Experience with customer software installation, systems integration, formal software qualification tests, and demonstrations preferred
- Understanding of MBSE and UML preferred
- Requirements development and requirements management tools such as DOORS preferred
- System architecture design and architecture tools such as Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or Rational Suite preferred
- Understanding of systems engineering concepts, practices, procedures, and ISO/IEC/IEEE standards preferred
