About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Software Quality/Process Assurance function on a multidisciplinary Product Development Team under senior-lead guidance
  • Review Engineering Development Plans for alignment with contractual, industry, and internal standards
  • Participate in audits and process reviews to monitor compliance
  • Review engineering documentation, including design specifications and test plans, for conformance
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory reviews by preparing documentation and addressing quality-related queries
  • Support Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and process consistency
  • Ensure compliance of embedded software development with industry, contractual, and regulatory standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience in Software Quality and Process Assurance or Software/Systems Engineering
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Familiarity with key industry standards supporting safety-critical aerospace systems
  • Hands-on experience applying DO-178C for embedded software compliance
  • Exposure to DO-254 and ARP4754 in cross-functional development environments
  • Experience supporting Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
  • Working knowledge of Engineering Configuration Management tools such as SVN, Synergy, and DOORS
  • Understanding of requirements traceability and lifecycle management
  • Basic understanding of AS9100/AS9115 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience supporting compliance activities within the aerospace development lifecycle
