Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, enhance, and maintain cloud-hosted applications
Modernize existing applications and drive new development initiatives
Implement and manage REST APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and Java
Develop user interfaces using JSP, Knockout, and jQuery
Design, develop, and optimize Oracle DB databases
Apply Eclipse Link JPA for data persistence
Manage version control using Subversion (SVN)
Use JWT and YAML for secure data handling and configuration management
Write and maintain Shell and PowerShell scripts for automation and operational tasks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with business goals and technical requirements
Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
Support seamless production deployments
Explain complex technical concepts to functional resources in a business-like manner
Travel occasionally to support business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program/contract
Typically 8+ years of experience, or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree
Bachelor’s degree
5 years of experience with Spring Boot and Java development, REST API design, and implementation
4 years of experience with JavaScript frameworks, including JSP, Knockout, and jQuery
3 years of experience working with Oracle DB and Eclipse Link JPA
Experience with Subversion (SVN)
Experience with JWT and YAML for secure data handling and configuration
Scripting experience with Shell and PowerShell
Ability to interact with functional resources and explain complex technical concepts in a business-like manner
Security clearance not required
Preferred: experience with MAVEN, SOLR/Lucene, Maria DB, JUnit, Angular, Git, and GitHub Actions
Occasional travel may be required
