About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient DevSecOps pipelines
  • Support automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery processes
  • Help implement and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines
  • Assist in selecting, configuring, and integrating tools to optimize software development flow
  • Work with DevOps managers and relevant teams to align DevOps practices with program needs
  • Support software teams in adopting DevSecOps tools and best practices
  • Automate artifact generation and manage product lifecycles
  • Assist in automating software releases while meeting quality, cybersecurity, and safety requirements
  • Support behavioral- and test-driven development and test automation
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards displaying DevSecOps metrics and performance indicators
  • Learn about RTX’s engineering team, technologies, work practices, and aerospace industry operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in software or computer engineering
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
  • Relocation is not offered
  • English (read, write, speak) required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
  • Familiarity with containerization, orchestration, and security practices in DevSecOps environments preferred
  • Some knowledge of aerospace, defense, or medical devices, with a focus on secure software development and compliance standards preferred
  • Students are expected to take the July–December session off from coursework to fully engage in the co-op
