About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications for exploring and understanding factory and test data
  • Develop data visualization and analytical tools for interpreting manufacturing data
  • Build Python and other software solutions to transform, standardize, and analyze engineering and test data
  • Develop and integrate applications with relational databases, APIs, and enterprise systems
  • Collaborate with engineers, factory personnel, and stakeholders to understand problems and create software solutions
  • Troubleshoot software, data, and process issues in production environments
  • Contribute to application architecture, technical design, code reviews, and team development practices
  • Learn manufacturing and test processes to identify opportunities for new capabilities
  • Work within an Agile software development team to deliver practical solutions
  • Support investigations into production issues, process variation, and test yields

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Professional software development experience using at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Perl, C, or a similar language
  • Experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software applications
  • Experience working collaboratively to solve technical problems and deliver software solutions
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance before the start date
  • DoD Secret clearance requirement
  • Python development for data processing, automation, or analytical applications preferred
  • Web application development using Angular, React, or similar technologies preferred
  • REST APIs and application integration preferred
  • Relational databases and SQL, including Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB, or other ANSI SQL-based systems preferred
  • Database design and software architecture principles preferred
  • Data visualization or analytical application development preferred
  • Statistical analysis or Minitab, R, JMP, or SAS preferred
  • Manufacturing, engineering, test, quality, or technical data environment experience preferred
  • Statistical process control, Lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma concepts preferred
  • Automated testing, source control, CI/CD, or modern software development practices preferred
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or secure computing environment experience preferred
