Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate on system requirements and software development in a cross-functional environment
  • Define system requirements and translate them into detailed software requirements, UML/SysML models, and diagrams for a large-scale program
  • Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional team members
  • Maintain, enhance, and develop software aligned with customer requirements and certification standards
  • Produce high-quality software implementations and integrate them within testing environments
  • Thoroughly test code and ensure it meets specified requirements
  • Learn and grow knowledge within RCP programs
  • Develop niche skills and pursue leadership roles such as Subject Matter Expert, Scrum Master, Product Owner, CAM, and Software Lead

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Educational knowledge and project application of software development using Python, C++, or similar, including debugging, integration, and deployment on software platforms
  • Familiarity with software development processes such as Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD
  • Familiarity with tools such as Git, GitLab, and JIRA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
  • DoD Security Clearance after Day 1
  • English (read, write, speak) required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
  • Preferred: knowledge of basic Linux shell scripting, Python, or Perl
  • Preferred: working knowledge of C++ or C#
  • Preferred: software-level debugging experience
  • Preferred: knowledge of SQL
  • Preferred: familiarity with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Coverity
