About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with the SBU Strategy Lead to develop, revise, and communicate SBU strategy deliverables
  • Lead development of sub-strategic business unit and product area strategies aligned with SBU and Raytheon priorities
  • Integrate customer, geopolitical, financial, and competitive insights into global portfolio recommendations
  • Develop portfolio-level insights and recommendations for SBU decision-making
  • Build business cases, scenario models, and sensitivity analyses for strategic options and investments
  • Assess mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, strategic fit, and financial implications
  • Develop presentations, decision memos, and visual storytelling assets for senior leadership
  • Distill complex financial and strategic data into executive recommendations
  • Partner across LADS, SBUs, product areas, business development, communications, finance, engineering, and operations
  • Facilitate workshops and structured discussions involving problem framing, hypothesis development, analysis, synthesis, and executive recommendations
  • Serve as a strategic coach for key capture and program teams
  • Streamline and automate strategy and analytics workflows
  • Embed industry best practices to improve rigor, speed, and consistency of deliverables
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience
  • Experience in corporate strategy or project management
  • Experience in data analytics, data visualization, storytelling, and research
  • Experience with sensitivity analysis, business case development, and market assessments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Active and existing DoD Secret clearance required after day 1
  • Graduate degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Economics, Engineering, Science, or Mathematics preferred
  • Active or transferable Top Secret and SCI clearance preferred
  • Experience working in the defense industry preferred
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the U.S. Department of Defense or Intelligence Community preferred
  • Prior experience working on a corporate strategy team, in a consulting firm, or using strategic decision-making frameworks preferred
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
