About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gain knowledge in structural, ATF, and dynamics analysis
  • Gain knowledge in developing FEA/CFD models for program support throughout the life cycle process
  • Support lead engineers by providing analysis results and recommendations through detailed documentation, formal reports, and presentations for management and customers
  • Support development of automated workflows for FEA/CFD preprocessing, post-processing, and data management using programming and AI tools
  • Explore AI/ML techniques to improve model fidelity, accelerate analysis turnaround, and enhance engineering decision-making
  • Participate in a working mentorship opportunity within RTX's aerospace and defense operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or applicable discipline
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
  • English (read, write, speak) required for communication with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
  • Monday-Friday availability for the July-December Co-Op session
  • Responsibilities must be performed onsite in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico 3 days per week, with 2 days remote
