About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in a Monday-Friday Co-Op session from January to June, taking time off from coursework to fully engage in the working mentorship opportunity
  • Learn structural validation data management
  • Support pre/post-test data processing and fatigue analysis
  • Develop engineering expertise in fatigue, fracture mechanics, and burst
  • Support lifing systems and structural analysis tools to enable safe, reliable designs
  • Aid vibration, fatigue, and fracture mechanics tasks for Module Centers customers regarding new designs, engine development plans, and production/field issues
  • Maintain trust of regulatory and military customers regarding structural integrity through teaming, communication, and reporting
  • Support product regulatory certification to meet customer needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Consistent record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative
  • Passion for learning and pursuing a career in aviation and aerospace
  • Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in responding to new business challenges
  • Eagerness to learn new things, contribute a fresh perspective, and share knowledge with others
