About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide engineering support to maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) processes
  • Perform structural assessments for stress analysis, vibration, low cycle fatigue life, and residual life prediction using fracture mechanics
  • Participate in cross-discipline integrated product teams
  • Provide design solutions balancing performance, cost, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Develop and incorporate new technology and process improvements
  • Create and provide clear technical documentation and persuasive technical presentations
  • Build effective working relationships with peers and internal and external customers
  • Manage increased workload and changing priorities using project management skills

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
  • Relocation is not offered
  • Basic experience with some of: ANSYS, APDL, Workbench, ABAQUS, PATRAN/NASTRAN, MATLAB, VBA, Python, C++, Fortran, MS Office, or NX
  • Completed courses in material sciences, mechanics of materials, material failure analysis, or manufacturing process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaboration, innovation, initiative, problem-solving, adaptability, time management, organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, and cultural awareness skills
