About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform procurement and supplier administration for U.S. Government and commercial domestic and international subcontracts
  • Administer high-dollar FFP/cost-type subcontracts ranging from $10K to equal/greater than $100M
  • Manage sourcing and procurement activities from development through production and final contract closeout
  • Manage tactical and strategic supplier relationships
  • Monitor incoming material supply to support MRP and independent demand
  • Interface with Integrated Product Teams, Engineering, Production Control, Operations, Material Program Managers, and Program Office
  • Develop supply chain strategies, alternatives, and solutions to complex problems
  • Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation plans
  • Lead the supplier organization team and serve as focal point for subcontractor performance
  • Generate RFPs and review requirements flow-down adequacy
  • Develop negotiation plans and lead multifunctional negotiation teams
  • Negotiate price, delivery, payments, and contractual terms
  • Place and maintain purchase orders
  • Manage Earned Value Management, milestone monitoring, completion assessments, and trend analysis
  • Perform price analysis
  • Coordinate and administer High-Risk Supplier Management and Enterprise Supplier Risk Tool processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of eight (8) years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience
  • Experience with direct DoD procurement/subcontracts ownership
  • Experience working with FAR/DFAR
  • Experience with negotiation of price reductions and terms and conditions
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
  • Active and existing DoD TS/SCI security clearance required after day 1
  • Knowledge of risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning
  • Experience in Six Sigma and productivity improvement
  • Experience in awarding and managing cost-type subcontracts
  • Experience in Special Program Access Systems
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to key stakeholders
