About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop concepts of operations for radar systems
- Develop radar processing algorithms
- Develop radar systems/software requirements
- Perform statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data
- Develop analysis tools to support problem identification and resolution
- Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
- Present findings and solutions to leadership and/or customers
- Support integration and analysis activities within the Radar Systems Department
- Travel up to 20% to RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations to support test events and mission execution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with systems hardware, systems/software requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++ and/or other programming language
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architecture
- Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments
- Proven experience in system-level requirements development, documentation, and maintenance, or design and development of system-level software architecture
- Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo or other digital engineering tools
- Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments
- Experience with military systems
- Current/Active DoD security clearance preferred
