About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement test plans and procedures
  • Perform integration and verification in simulated and real-world environments
  • Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through analysis and debugging
  • Collaborate across functions to improve performance and resolve system issues
  • Use modeling and simulation tools to predict system performance and support verification and validation
  • Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems in field-test and hardware-in-the-loop environments
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to achieve system integration and functionality
  • Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, and verify requirements
  • Communicate results to leadership and stakeholders
  • Travel as needed, up to 15%, to support mission execution at RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations
  • Support local travel between Raytheon locations in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
  • Experience generating technical documentation, such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Ability to obtain an interim U.S. government-issued security clearance prior to start date
  • DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience with radar systems, weapons systems, or command and control systems preferred
  • Experience in an integration lab, test facility, or field supporting integration and/or verification preferred
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and similar test equipment preferred
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or equivalent and configuration control practices preferred
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, and/or other programming languages preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
