About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and maintain parametric solid design models and associated drawings supporting Pratt & Whitney engine programs
  • Process Engineering Changes to support elimination of QNS, escapes, and related issues
  • Perform design-assist work for Design and Structures, including 3D model creation and updates
  • Create or update paperwork in Teamcenter/Nxmanager through issuance
  • Follow Product Definition standard work and Class II Manual
  • Perform drafting and technical tasks under general direct supervision
  • Collaborate with Design & Product Definition to complete tasks and communicate results
  • Produce Teamcenter Class II EC documentation
  • Produce simple to medium-complexity 3D models according to part-family standards
  • Interpret Geometric Form Control using ASME Y14.5M/PWA79360 standards
  • Apply dimensioning techniques and DRM practices
  • Apply dimensional stack-up techniques
  • Attend meetings, teleconferences, and required training
  • Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives and product-definition community initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Two-year Associates degree in STEM or other 2 years post high school training
  • 2 years in drafting or technician role
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • NX 3D/CAD modeling
  • Experience with compression system parts (preferred)
  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry (preferred)
  • Experience with CAD programs (UG), Teamcenter, SAP (preferred)
  • English (read, write, speak) is required
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
