About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the THAAD UAE Foreign Military Sales contract as a Contractor Logistics Support AN/TPY-2 THAAD Radar Systems Engineer
  • Troubleshoot and resolve radar system anomalies, including REX, BSG, Antenna/Sub-Array/TRIMMs
  • Assess radar system health through diagnostic interpretation and satellite track analysis
  • Provide weekly engineering status reports
  • Assist with software installations, system updates, and engineering modifications
  • Execute data archival
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and ALCS reporting requirements
  • Provide technical support for hardware and software configuration management
  • Investigate radar issues and write SARs
  • Maintain the Linux-based SDPE
  • Lead radar issue resolution under the CLS Site Manager
  • Review ALCS program data for completeness, accuracy, and Failure Review Board compliance
  • Maintain radar system health and operational status
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret calibration data using radar systems and Matlab
  • Document integration and testing procedures, results, and issues
  • Communicate with customers, end users, and Field Service Representatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • DoD Secret clearance, active and existing on day 1
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required
  • Proficiency in Linux or other UNIX-based operating systems, such as Solaris or HP-UX
  • Proven experience working in on-site integration and test teams
  • Hands-on experience operating radar systems to collect calibration data and troubleshoot radar anomalies
  • In-depth knowledge of radar theory, X-Band hardware/software concepts, RF systems, and hardware schematics
  • Experience maintaining, assessing, and implementing corrective actions on faulted equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with configuring and setting up network equipment, such as Cisco routers and switches
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8–12 years of related experience
  • At least five years of experience troubleshooting and conducting operational checks of AN/TPY-2 systems preferred
  • Proficiency in Matlab for data analysis preferred
  • Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
  • Experience planning, producing, and managing complex systems
  • Background in logistics highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as a U.S. expatriate based in the United Arab Emirates under an LTIA MOU
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-sensitive requirements
