About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own intake, briefing, scoping, scheduling, delivery, and measurement for every video request
  • Make and defend ship, revision, or rethink decisions
  • Hold cycle-time targets: 48 hours for social cutdowns and templated assets; five business days for demos; 72 hours for event wraps; 15–20 business days for bespoke launch animation
  • Maintain the request tracker with an owner, date, and reason for cancelled work
  • Personally edit every video from story and pacing through final delivery
  • Put real product on screen clearly at social sizes
  • Build a template format library for demos, launches, customer reels, social cutdowns, and event wraps
  • Animate title sequences and data callouts
  • Build variant systems for 30–80 paid-ad cuts
  • Evaluate where AI generation improves or harms the work
  • Direct the videographer and motion contractor and require source files in SOWs
  • Collaborate with DevRel, Content, Events, and Growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Has shipped video for a technical or developer audience and can identify specific assets and their role
  • Can edit, sound mix, caption, create aspect-ratio variants, and handle delivery specifications independently
  • Has worked to a 48-hour turnaround clock and can explain prioritization tradeoffs
  • Comfortable integrating AI-capable workflows using Remotion or equivalent code-based programmatic video generation
  • Motion-capable in After Effects or equivalent, making motion choices independently
  • Has run a video program end to end and stood behind final decisions
  • Preferred: Experience managing freelance benches and studio relationships, including day rates and client-side SOWs
  • Preferred: Distribution and measurement experience beyond view counts
  • Preferred: 3D or hardware visualization exposure
  • Preferred: Experience as the first or only video person at an organization
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Unable to require employment visa sponsorship
