About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the in-house works team on refreshes and spruces across London, Bristol and Brighton
Price jobs and track spend against budget
Work with the Design team to ensure designs can be built and deliver them faithfully
Source, vet and recommend subcontractors for specialist packages
Run RAMS, permits and CDM paperwork to keep sites safe
Complete snagging and hand over clean, finished spaces
Run several jobs concurrently across the portfolio
Report to the Head of Projects & Facilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experienced contracts or works manager from commercial fit-out or refurbishment
Experience at a smaller firm where responsibilities included pricing work and buying in subcontractors
Confidence pricing work from drawings and a site visit
Experience running several live jobs at once and keeping a small team productive
Established connections with reliable trades
Ability to vet new subcontractors properly
Strong site safety knowledge
SMSTS certification
CSCS cards
Ability to set high standards and hold people accountable
Organised, clear and proactive working style
