About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute project workstreams
  • Manipulate and forecast data using Microsoft Excel and internal Rystad products
  • Prepare client-ready presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and visualization tools
  • Communicate findings, methodologies, and next steps to internal team members and external stakeholders
  • Leverage AI to streamline data manipulation and analysis workflows
  • Map geospatial information using GIS programs
  • Build models and analyze large datasets in Python
  • Develop client-side products and market reports with the Analysis department
  • Support business development related to ongoing or previous client work
  • Structure and break down ambiguous problems
  • Perform quantitative analysis, produce reports, and deliver recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with clients across upstream, midstream, downstream oil and gas, renewables, hydrogen, and carbon capture
  • Deliver results within client-driven timeframes
  • Work primarily at the Rystad Energy office and travel to client sites as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative or other relevant field, graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027
  • Experience using Microsoft Office for modeling and data visualization, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Python, GIS, SQL, or other quantification and visualization software is a plus
  • Strong quantitative skills, including experience with data analysis, modeling, or engineering applications
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear written deliverables, presentations, and data visualizations
  • Demonstrated interest in and understanding of energy markets, technologies, and policy
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
