Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development and execution of supply plans for contract manufacturing partners
  • Balance customer demand, production capacity, material availability, and inventory targets
  • Drive Clear-to-Build (CTB) readiness by ensuring critical components and materials are available
  • Monitor and analyze supplier and contract manufacturer performance
  • Lead supply and capacity reviews with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Optimize supply planning strategies, inventory investments, and material flow
  • Implement process improvements to enhance planning efficiency, supply visibility, and inventory management
  • Use data analytics and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop scalable planning processes responsive to changing business and customer requirements
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks
  • Identify material shortages, capacity constraints, and supplier risks using planning systems and data analytics
  • Develop and execute recovery plans and contingency strategies
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical supply issues
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to resolve supply challenges
  • Establish supplier and manufacturing partner performance expectations and capacity strategies
  • Drive improvement initiatives focused on quality, delivery, responsiveness, lead-time reduction, and capacity readiness
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with contract manufacturers and stakeholders
  • Facilitate regular business reviews with external partners
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support supply chain governance, audit readiness, data integrity, and accurate planning documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience working in a supplier management role in the manufacturing industry
  • Proven track record managing global sourcing projects with complex supply chains
  • Deep knowledge of international sourcing strategies and supplier management
  • Sound understanding of manufacturing processes for industrial products and components
  • Ability to manage large-scale sourcing projects with minimal oversight
  • Ability to direct cross-functional teams and ensure project goals are met
  • Critical thinking, organizational, planning, and project management skills
  • Ability to coordinate internal and external resources and manage diverse projects to deadlines and budgets
  • Interpersonal skills to establish relationships, navigate and resolve conflict, and foster collaboration
  • Written, verbal, listening, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Business acumen and analytical skills for data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Financial acumen and numerical ability for strategic financial decisions and negotiations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA) preferred
  • Certified in Supply Management (CSM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred
  • Experience using Oracle Sourcing functions preferred
