About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage day-to-day operations of project warehouses, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant handling of CBP materials and equipment
- Manage up to 15 warehouse staff, including leadership, coaching, performance management, professional development, hiring, workforce planning, succession development, disciplinary actions, workflow, workload distribution, and training
- Receive, inspect, document, store, label, and secure inbound shipments, including Government-Furnished Equipment, contractor-procured items, spare parts, and repair materials
- Fulfill material requests and coordinate timely shipments to field technicians, maintenance teams, and forward operating locations
- Maintain real-time inventory records using approved systems, including Maximo/ILSS
- Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation reporting
- Establish, monitor, and report warehouse performance metrics
- Develop corrective actions when performance objectives are not achieved
- Coordinate supply distribution and logistics with field sites supporting remote IST tower maintenance
- Develop and implement warehouse Standard Operating Procedures
- Implement process improvements for inventory accuracy, material flow, warehouse efficiency, operational quality, and cost effectiveness
- Support asset tracking, repair cycle management, disposition activities, and Government-Furnished Equipment accountability
- Maintain compliance with federal property management regulations, safety standards, and contract requirements
- Submit weekly and monthly logs and provide asset/inventory reports to program, project, logistics, sustainment, and PMO staff
- Oversee return merchandise authorization, return authorization, and return goods authorization processes
- Promote and adhere to the company safety program; attend safety meetings, briefings, training, and inspections
- Complete daily reports, timecards, quality logs, and contract-required reporting
- Operate and maintain a company vehicle safely and report maintenance or damage
- Collaborate with company personnel to meet deadlines, metrics, project outcomes, and mission objectives
- Support the Senior Logistics Manager on specialty projects or assigned tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Exchange of experience for degree requires 2 years of experience for each year of education
- Minimum 10 years of Inventory Management experience required
- Experience with Deltek/Costpoint system preferred
- Experience with MAXIMO/CBP ILSS database system preferred
- Must have, or be eligible for, a U.S. Government Security Clearance (DoD Secret or DHS Suitability)
- Current driver’s license
- Certification in Logistics or Inventory Control preferred
- Must successfully complete and pass a pre-employment, post-offer background check and drug screening
- Ability to manage up to 15 warehouse staff
- Ability to comply with federal property management regulations, safety standards, and contract requirements
- Ability to operate a company vehicle in accordance with local laws/regulations
