Key responsibilities & impact

Design and development of complex software solutions
Regular collaboration with customers on business and technical requirements
Creation of unit and integration tests
Definition of development and architecture standards as well as best practices
Advising business departments and other stakeholders on technical questions related to Java development
Responsibility for complex Java-based web applications and system architectures in public-sector customer projects
Contributing to next-generation GovTech solutions for the digitalization of government institutions

What you’ll need

Degree or vocational training with a focus on IT
Several years of experience as a software developer in an agile Java environment
Practical experience with the Spring Framework and Java SE/EE
In-depth knowledge of and practical experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies
Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL
Experience with JPA or Hibernate
Fluent German language skills
Willingness to travel: one quarterly meeting with colleagues in Nuremberg and a few on-site customer meetings per year
