About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle internal and customer telephone inquiries and service-related problems promptly and professionally
- Provide accurate product knowledge, service information, and operational guidance
- Provide written correspondence to customers when necessary
- Handle deposit and loan account inquiries
- Process account maintenance requests, including address changes, check ordering, transfers, and stop payments
- Close, order, and manage debit cards, including limits, travel notes, fraud exclusions, and VAU
- Resolve online banking and mobile banking inquiries, including enrollment, computer registration, account unlocking, e-statements, and BillPay issues
- Use Financial Intelligence Group standards to detect suspicious callers and activity and combat fraud
- Recommend applicable products and services and identify opportunities for new accounts and leads
- Report quality service concerns to Branch Administration
- Use customer service, sales, and correspondence software to improve efficiency
- Make infrequent outbound telemarketing calls
- Refer deposit and loan account openings to Personal Bankers
- Assist with operational procedures, sales processes, and training new departmental employees
- Work independently and as a team member
- Act as shift lead during evening and weekend hours when needed
- Assume additional duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent basic academic education required
- One to two years of general business experience required; position may be hired with up to one year of experience due to upfront training
- Ability to operate a keypad device for 99% of the day
- Manual dexterity for frequent typing, up to 60% of the business day
- Ability to focus visually at a close distance of 18–20 inches for up to 60% of the business day
- Ability to perform essential functions with reasonable accommodations if needed
