About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop banking relationships across all business lines for assigned markets, customers, and prospective customers
- Develop new business and retain existing business through promotion of products and services and operational excellence
- Maintain consistent top production for the business unit and provide guidance and share expertise with other Bankers
- Interview customers and prospective customers and prepare documentation regarding business needs, abilities, and earnings
- Collect and analyze financial data for proper account structure; handle more intricate credits and referrals
- Maintain an aggressive calling program for new and existing customers
- Assist other lines of business in generating business
- Execute the Bank’s standard sales choreography expectations
- Attend and participate in community affairs to promote the Bank’s image
- Represent the Bank at customer events, including advisory boards when applicable
- Demonstrate Division and Market Leadership; coach and mentor Business Bankers and other bank personnel
- Maintain close working relationships with all lines of business to deliver exceptional customer service and develop new business
- Develop and maintain referral-professional networks, including attorneys, realtors, and other centers of influence
- Call on new prospects from bank referrals, prospect referrals, and prospect lists
- Conduct business development activities to identify bank prospects
- Execute sales skills and service standards supporting the Bank’s purpose, values, and core drivers
- Respond to customer questions and solve customer problems
- Document portfolio and prospect calls and other activities
- Maintain good working relationships with bank employees and contribute independently and as a team player
- Work closely with the Portfolio Manager while monitoring the portfolio
- Assume additional responsibilities as required
- Travel approximately 30% of the week, including customer visits and site inspections
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires a four-year college degree or equivalent, plus specialized training
- Major or area of specialization: Finance/Accounting
- Requires ten plus years of general business experience
- Requires ten plus years specialized experience in credit and or lending
- Ability to travel by car to see customers, inspect construction sites, land developments, and meet customers
- Ability to travel out of state to inspect projects, construction sites and meet customers
- Ability to operate a keypad device, electronic equipment, and office equipment
- Manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 40% of the business day
- Close vision of 18”-20” for computer work
