About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver exceptional customer service related to branch operations, teller-line transactions, sales, and platform duties
- Identify customers, verify transactions, prevent fraud, process deposits, withdrawals, checks, payments, money orders, and loan payments
- Balance window cash daily and perform ATM settlement and vault balancing where applicable
- Profile customers and recommend appropriate loan and deposit products
- Use sales tools and complete customer-focused sales conversations
- Develop customer profiles, identify banking needs, close business, and perform follow-up calls
- Build professional customer relationships and identify add-on selling opportunities
- Contribute to branch sales and service goals and execute the bank’s sales and service standards
- Perform outbound calls and participate in branch sales campaigns
- Process new accounts, update existing accounts, perform data entry, and prepare documentation
- Maintain existing accounts, answer questions, resolve account problems, and handle check orders
- Prepare loan applications using LOS software and coordinate loan document preparation
- Maintain working relationships with employees in other departments
- Travel throughout the assigned region and work at various branch locations to support staffing and business needs
- Assume additional duties such as balancing ATMs and processing deposits
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to five years general and specialized experience
- Successful completion of the retail training program, including CSR and RSA training programs
- CARE certified within 6 months of hire
- Completion of NMLS requirements as part of S.A.F.E. Act certification
- Proof of registration with the registry and verification of a unique identifier required upon hire and/or before performing Mortgage Loan Originator duties
- Annual maintenance of S.A.F.E. Act registration
- Willingness and ability to work at various branch locations with limited advance notice
- Ability to travel up to 45 minutes from the primary location based on business needs
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
