About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join the client’s in-house engineering team working on a clinical learning platform undergoing a platform migration and adding AI-powered features
Design, build and maintain front-end, back-end and API components using TypeScript, Node.js and React
Build and integrate AI features using LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or similar
Design data models and write optimized SQL
Lead technical discussions, review code, and mentor junior engineers
Work in Agile sprints with US teams, including refinement, estimation and status updates
Act as first point of escalation for complex technical issues in the relevant area

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years in software engineering, with strong hands-on full-stack work
TypeScript / JavaScript, Node.js, Express, React
SQL, relational data modeling, and query optimization
REST API design and third-party integrations
Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs and using prompt engineering (structured outputs, system prompts)
Daily use of AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or similar)
Unit testing / TDD and code reviews in Agile teams
Excellent spoken and written English, and comfort working directly with US clients
Agentic AI: tool/function calling, MCP, agent frameworks, LLM evaluation (LLM-as-judge, regression tests)
Responsible AI practices: guardrails, PII handling
LMS integrations, e.g. Cornerstone, Workday Learning, or LTI/SCORM-based platforms
Python; exposure to Java or .NET
Healthcare, EHR (e.g., Epic) or edtech domain experience
Experience as a tech lead or mentor
