About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct testing on electromechanical systems, including software
- Author test procedures and test plans
- Collaborate with design teams to determine the best testing methods
- Work with manufacturing teams to facilitate the transition from development to production
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of test benches
- Issue test anomaly reports
- Conduct root cause analysis
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or a similar field
- Ability to work in a lab environment and apply logical and methodical approaches to execute basic test procedures
- Capability to solve problems and apply analytical thinking to develop innovative and practical solutions
- Ability to adhere to Saab quality systems and processes
- Ability to collaborate with managers and teammates to establish expectations
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to apply basic engineering skills and knowledge
- Basic ability to read electrical schematics
- Basic ability to read mechanical drawings
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Preferred: Master's degree in engineering
- Preferred: Experience with LabVIEW to create simulation environments
- Preferred: Experience with software validation and verification
- Preferred: Familiarity with MIL-STD specifications for testing
- Preferred: Experience with testing electronics for EMC/EMI
