About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist engineering in the design, development, and testing of electronic circuit card assemblies
- Design and implement basic circuits
- Design, implement, simulate, and test VHDL-based FPGA firmware
- Bench-test circuit cards, including first-article and legacy hardware
- Assist in generating documentation and artifacts, including circuit board schematics and bills of material
- Apply Electrical or Computer Engineering studies to next-generation radar system development for DoD customers, including the U.S. Navy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Enrollment in an accredited degree program, majoring in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must have completed Sophomore year or greater
- Understanding of basic circuit theory
- Understanding of digital logic design
- Ability to read and decipher an electrical schematic
- Working knowledge of VHDL
- Ability to effectively use MS Word and Excel
- Ability to use rudimentary test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and oral contexts
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- May be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
