About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take overall responsibility for development, design, and continuous evolution of the Gripen aircraft platform, including weapons integration
- Lead an organisation comprising several hundred employees through a multi-layered leadership team
- Ensure the organisation has the competencies, technical capabilities, and ways of working required for current and future Gripen-program demands
- Oversee systems engineering management, materials and component engineering, flight control and aerodynamics, structural design and analysis, systems installation, and vehicle systems integration including the engine
- Drive customer value, business acumen, digital transformation, innovation, and continuous business improvement
- Ensure delivery against quality, cost, schedule, and technical-performance targets throughout the product lifecycle
- Develop organisational capabilities, competencies, and technical excellence
- Coach and develop leaders and build a strong leadership culture
- Ensure collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Translate Gripen strategic objectives into priorities, tangible results, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to the Gripen Business Unit leadership team and report to the Head of Business Unit Gripen
- Travel nationally and internationally as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience in organisational leadership and change management
- Solid understanding of product development and industrial operations
- Proven track record of developing leaders and high-performing teams
- Ability to build collaboration across organisational boundaries
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Fluency in both Swedish and English
- Must pass security vetting based on current security-protection regulations
- Additional citizenship obligations may apply for positions requiring security clearance
