About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and transform Saab’s IT Security & Compliance Operations, IAM, and security monitoring capabilities, focusing on cloud, AI, and modernisation
- Protect Saab’s information assets, systems, and operations by monitoring, detecting, responding to, and recovering from cybersecurity threats and incidents
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements
- Define and drive the roadmap for IT Security & Compliance Operations, including security automation, increased cloud adoption, and cloud security monitoring
- Represent Group IT in cross-functional forums and engage with senior business and technology stakeholders
- Cultivate a “Security First” mindset within the organisation
- Manage senior leaders through line management responsibilities
- Align strategic direction and operational execution across Business Areas and Group Functions
- Report directly to the Saab Group CIO
- Enable secure digital transformation across the enterprise
Requirements
What you’ll need- Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of IT management experience, including several years of leadership of leaders
- Extensive experience in security and privacy strategy, security management, security operations, privacy program management, and identity and access management
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and applications
- Expertise in security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls
- Knowledge of cryptography, authentication, access control, and other security principles
- Proven experience driving transformation focused on cloud, AI, modern IT infrastructure, and large-scale technology initiatives
- Experience from large global organisations; ideally including defence
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes
- Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken
- Must pass security vetting based on current regulations around security protection
- Additional citizenship-related obligations may apply for positions requiring security clearance
