About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the organisation, people and capabilities within the IT Strategy area
- Drive Saab's enterprise-wide IT strategy agenda
- Establish strategic planning frameworks and prioritisation principles connecting business needs with IT investments
- Shape technology investment priorities and strategic roadmaps
- Create transparency across strategic priorities, investments, dependencies and transformation initiatives
- Support senior leaders in strategic decision-making and technology planning
- Drive alignment between business objectives, transformation initiatives and technology investments
- Strengthen strategic supplier relationships and portfolio insights for investment and lifecycle decisions
- Monitor technology trends and emerging capabilities
- Participate in the CIO Office management team
- Collaborate with business leaders, technology leaders and stakeholders across Saab
- Travel to meet teams and stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Strong people leadership and talent development skills
- Extensive experience within IT strategy, business transformation or enterprise planning
- Experience defining enterprise strategies and technology roadmaps
- Experience establishing planning frameworks, portfolio review processes and investment prioritisation practices
- Understanding of application, service and project portfolio management, including lifecycle considerations and dependencies
- Strong understanding of IT strategy, technology investment planning and business-technology alignment
- Strong understanding of digitalisation, AI and emerging technology trends
- Experience advising and influencing senior leaders in complex organisations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience from large, complex and global organisations
- Experience from the defence industry or other highly regulated and security-sensitive industries is considered an advantage
- Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken
- Must pass security vetting based on current regulations around security protection
- Additional citizenship obligations may apply for positions requiring security clearance
