About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the organisation, people and capabilities within on-prem infrastructure
- Own the strategy, roadmap and delivery of secure, resilient and scalable on-prem infrastructure platforms and services
- Lead the evolution toward modern private cloud and software-defined platform capabilities
- Enable infrastructure services through platform engineering, Infrastructure as Code, automation, APIs and self-service
- Ensure availability, security and resilience of core infrastructure services
- Balance operational excellence, service quality and continuous modernisation
- Lead, develop and engage employees and leaders within the area
- Own Saab's private cloud platforms, core on-prem infrastructure services and automation capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement in service quality
- Lead platform modernisation, standardisation and technical debt reduction initiatives
- Establish governance, standards and lifecycle management for infrastructure platforms and services
- Build relationships with business stakeholders, vendors and strategic partners
- Work with business stakeholders, technology leaders and infrastructure peers to align strategy, investments and delivery
- Travel occasionally to meet teams and business stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience leading managers and technical teams in large, complex organisations
- Extensive experience leading private cloud, infrastructure platform or enterprise infrastructure services organisations
- Strong understanding of modern infrastructure technologies, security, resilience and service operations
- Experience driving infrastructure modernisation through automation, Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering
- Experience establishing governance, standards and effective operating models
- Experience from the defence industry or other highly regulated and security-sensitive industries is considered an advantage
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to align business and technology priorities
- Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken
- Must pass security vetting based on current regulations around security protection
- Additional citizenship obligations may apply for positions requiring security clearance
