About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, develop and engage employees and leaders within the area
- Lead the development of Saab's Special Purpose Environments and capabilities
- Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for Special Purpose Environments
- Drive transformation from legacy infrastructure to modern on-premises and cloud-based solutions
- Balance innovation with security, compliance and operational requirements
- Accelerate adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation and modern operating practices
- Establish global guardrails, common platforms and standardised ways of working
- Enable secure and resilient environments supporting R&D, Manufacturing and Support functions
- Support future digital capabilities through modern infrastructure and platform services
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendors and partners
- Lead a strategically important area within Group IT and shape its future operating model
Requirements
What you’ll need- Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Strong people leadership and talent development skills
- Extensive experience leading infrastructure or platform teams, with responsibility for operational delivery and service performance
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, hybrid infrastructure and infrastructure transformation
- Experience driving migration from legacy platforms to modern cloud-enabled environments
- Experience leading the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation and modern infrastructure operating practices
- Understanding of security-sensitive and regulated environments
- Experience supporting R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering or other specialised business environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience from large, complex and global organisations
- Experience from the defence industry is considered an advantage
- Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken
- Must pass security vetting based on current regulations around security protection
- Additional citizenship obligations may apply for positions requiring security clearance
