About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provision and manage users, groups, and licences in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
Onboard Windows/macOS laptops into MDM and coordinate remote device handovers
Triage first-line support tickets, including password resets and access requests
Escalate complex issues
Run weekly maintenance checks covering patch status, backup logs, and security alerts
Document fixes and runbooks so processes are repeatable
Contribute approximately 20% of time to security projects, including CVE research and briefings, laptop hardening scripts, incident-response playbook drafts, and ISO 27001 checklist development

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of hands-on experience in IT operations, helpdesk, or systems administration
Proven admin skills in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, including user/group management, security policies, and basic troubleshooting
Comfortable with MDM platforms such as Intune, Jamf, or similar
Proficient in at least one scripting language: PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Strong written and spoken English
Reliable internet and a professional remote setup
Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously across time zones
Microsoft 365 Certified (Administrator Expert or Endpoint Administrator) is nice to have
Google Workspace Administrator certification is nice to have
Exposure to security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2 is nice to have
German is a plus
