Key responsibilities & impact

Perform load calculations used for sizing studies of future aircraft or major modifications
Determine component loads, including calculations of loads on specific parts
Potentially perform ground loads calculations for landings, brakings, turns, and rollings
Potentially perform flight loads calculations for longitudinal and lateral manoeuvres, load alleviation functions, gusts, and failure cases
Potentially perform aeroelastics calculations, including flutter calculations and control-surface limit-cycle oscillations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Mechanical / Aerospace / Structural Engineering degree
Knowledge of Flight Physics, Flight Loads, Ground Loads, Aeroelastics, and Aerodynamics
Understanding of airplane behavior and physical sense
Python coding (mandatory)
Matlab tools experience
Strong ability to plan and schedule activities across multiple modules
Attention to detail
Effective communication skills, able to clearly define expectations and gain understanding
Team spirit with capacity to interact with multicultural teams
