About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to older adults via telehealth
- Build individualized treatment plans around each patient’s goals and needs
- Manage an independent caseload and clinical decisions with support from a care team
- Complete documentation in the EMR using AI-assisted notes
- Join regular paid case consultations with experienced clinical leaders
- Serve older adults experiencing grief, loss, isolation, and difficult life transitions
- Collaborate with Clinical Quality Leads, Care Navigators, Healthcare Advocates, and provider support staff
- Deliver Medicare-covered therapy, care navigation, and healthcare advocacy through Sailor Health’s mental healthcare model
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be located in the United States
- Doctoral degree in psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program
- Active, independent license to practice psychology in the state where this role is posted
- Experience with older adult or geriatric populations preferred
- Comfortable with telehealth platforms and electronic health records
- Medicare billing experience a plus
- 1099 contractor roles start at 15 hours per week
- W2 employee roles start at 25 hours per week
- At least 15 weekly sessions are required with Sailor Health
- Must hold at least one active, unrestricted license allowing independent practice without clinical supervision
- Required application information includes states where unrestricted independent licenses are held and license types
