About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, develop, expand, and strengthen strategic client relationships across multiple divisions, geographies, and service lines
  • Own global account performance, including revenue growth, profitability, client satisfaction, retention, and strategic expansion
  • Develop and execute multi-year account growth strategies aligned with client objectives and company priorities
  • Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities across divisions, service lines, and geographic regions
  • Drive cross-selling and upselling initiatives
  • Maintain account forecasts, pipeline reporting, opportunity tracking, and growth plans
  • Serve as senior account leader and primary point of contact for executive-level client relationships
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with decision makers and stakeholders
  • Develop relationship maps and conduct executive engagement activities
  • Create and maintain comprehensive strategic account plans
  • Lead pursuit strategies for major opportunities, including positioning, teaming, proposal strategy, and relationship development
  • Coordinate account planning across divisions, business units, technical practices, and enterprise leadership teams
  • Maintain visibility into major client engagements and coordinate resolution of delivery risks and client concerns
  • Lead virtual account teams of technical leaders, project managers, business development professionals, and operational leaders
  • Mentor emerging account managers and business development professionals
  • Support succession planning and relationship continuity
  • Monitor account-level risks and facilitate resolution of client conflicts and commercial concerns
  • Support disciplined account reviews, pipeline management, forecasting, and enterprise collaboration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field
  • Significant experience in strategic account management, client development, business development, consulting, engineering, professional services, or related industries
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex, multi-location accounts and growing revenue through long-term relationship development
  • Proven ability to build executive-level relationships and influence decision makers across large organizations
  • Experience collaborating within matrixed organizations and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to manage a disciplined sales process, maintain accurate CRM records, forecast pipeline, and achieve or exceed annual sales targets
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic account plans, manage sales pipelines, and achieve growth objectives
  • Working knowledge of regulated manufacturing environments, cGMP expectations, FDA/EMA-driven project considerations, CQV, clean utilities, process systems, packaging, automation, and facility infrastructure preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must pass a background check
  • Ability to travel as required; frequent travel anticipated, averaging up to 50%
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform required physical activities
