About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with technical support and troubleshooting of computers, applications, peripherals, connectivity, networks, and other IT services
  • Assist with employee technology onboarding, device preparation, deployments, upgrades, and other IT initiatives
  • Support cybersecurity activities including security monitoring, documentation, vulnerability management, compliance, and security awareness
  • Assist with network and infrastructure activities involving LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, switches, firewalls, monitoring, inventories, and documentation
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, inventories, and knowledge-base articles
  • Research and test new technologies, products, or technical solutions and help identify opportunities to improve or automate IT processes
  • Participate in IT projects, team meetings, technical training, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Perform assigned technical tasks under the guidance of experienced IT team members and escalate issues when appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Networking, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Genuine interest in technology and enjoyment of troubleshooting, problem-solving, and learning how things work
  • Basic knowledge of computers, operating systems, networking, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, or other IT concepts through coursework, certifications, personal projects, or previous experience
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical team members
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable asking questions
  • Interest in developing skills within an assigned IT discipline while gaining exposure to the broader IT organization
  • Exposure to Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, PowerShell, Python, or IT support tools
  • Relevant CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar coursework or certifications are a plus
  • Prior professional IT experience is not required
