About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, debug, maintain, and integrate application modules
Work with internal business units to understand application development requirements
Develop applications that improve companywide productivity and information sharing
Contribute to internally developed applications and improve business workflows in the civil engineering space
Write unit and functional tests and perform manual application testing
Identify and solve problems with internal applications
Deliver technical proposals for process improvements, including work and cost savings estimates
Evaluate existing services/applications, new services/applications, and bespoke development solutions
Collaborate with regional IT team members and managers on enterprise-wide initiative deployments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proficiency in object-oriented Python development; frameworks like FastAPI, Django or Flask preferred
Experience with front-end JavaScript/TypeScript development; React experience a plus
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases; working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server a plus
Ability to work with third-party APIs with little or no official documentation
3–5 years of Python experience
Bachelor's degree or AA in Computer Science, Software Engineering/Development, or another related discipline preferred
