About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver end-to-end features across Java and Angular
- Build Java REST APIs and improve standards and libraries
- Build accessible, responsive Angular components integrated with APIs
- Optimize SQL Server queries, schemas, performance, and data integrity
- Improve CI/CD, tests, reviews, monitoring, and reliability
- Mentor engineers and collaborate through design, pairing, and reviews
- Improve processes, UX, efficiency, and stability while reducing complexity
- Follow secure coding practices and PII compliance requirements
- Lead issue resolution and root-cause analysis for critical operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years designing and delivering enterprise solutions
- Strong Java/Spring Boot APIs, security, and integrations
- Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS; ability to build testable UIs
- SQL Server schema design, indexing, tuning, and stored procedures
- Experience with Azure, CI/CD (GitLab preferably), containers, monitoring, and configuration
- Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
- Insurance/finance experience preferred
- Nice-to-have exposure to integrating AI/ML model endpoints into applications and CI/CD pipelines using Azure ML or similar
- Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar
- Hands-on experience using GitLab or Azure DevOps to manage source code, build CI/CD pipelines, and support automated deployments
