About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze and fulfill user requests and questions
- Participate in requirements or design meetings to clarify business and technical requirements
- Design solutions, including functional capabilities, dataflows, IT ecosystem integration, and impact assessment
- Recommend implementation options involving algorithms, data models, configuration, application code changes, batch processes, and database scripts
- Ensure consistency of changes across modules and review designs with impacted squads and teams
- Validate functional designs and implementation choices
- Document solutions, integrations, and changes
- Contribute to technical work including database physical structure, security, and backup/recovery processes
- Define IT testing strategy, prepare test cases, and execute IT testing
- Troubleshoot and support incident management
- Ensure norms, standards, and best practices are applied throughout the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with users, technology and data teams, and providers
- Report activity progress, risks, and issues regularly to the Solution Owner
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven work experience as Solution Analyst (at least 5 years in the function and 8 years in IT) on complex systems with high level of integration, preferably in insurance industry
- Extensive experience of complex system design covering process, algorithm, datamodel, dataflows, user and system interactions
- Extensive experience in large program integration testing
- Strong leadership and interpersonal relationship skills that promote collaboration and transparency
- Ability to federate and drive other system analysts (internal / external)
- Tech oriented and curious about technology and innovation
- Strong experience of Business & IT agile ways of working
- Experience supporting business critical applications with SLA
- Strong logical thinking skills and problem-solving attitude
- Sense of urgency and ability to troubleshoot complex problems
- Collaborative style and ability to work within a matrixed environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Higher education in computer science (engineering schools or equivalent) or equivalent experience
