About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own regulatory license application projects for Salmon
Manage submissions to the BSP, SEC, and other regulators as the company expands licensed products and geographies
Coordinate across legal, compliance, finance, product, and PMO teams
Serve as the primary on-the-ground licensing contact in Manila while working with a remote team lead
Draft responses to regulatory inquiries and track open items across concurrent applications
Explain regulatory requirements and context to stakeholders and escalate blocked inputs
Manage license applications end to end, from initial preparation through regulator approval
Draft application letters, governance materials, and corporate documents
Manage timelines, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple license projects
Gather inputs and ensure submissions are accurate and complete
Communicate with regulators and track questions, comments, and follow-ups through closure
Support transition of licensing projects from the PMO team into the dedicated licensing function

Requirements

What you’ll need

3-5 years of experience combining legal, regulatory, and project management work on complex, multi-stakeholder projects in financial services or fintech
Hands-on experience with license applications for financial activities such as banking, e-money/payments, securities/trading, or lending, or comparable fintech regulatory projects
Experience at a bank, payment company, EMI, trading firm, financial institution, law firm, or Big Four advisory firm in financial services
Strong drafting skills, including reading regulations, interpreting requirements, and writing submission-ready documents
Detail-oriented, with ability to identify gaps and inconsistencies
Ability to explain regulatory context, follow up, push back, and escalate while maintaining constructive relationships
Comfortable working with Confluence, JIRA, and Slack
Relocation to Manila is required
