About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Accounting Manager in day-to-day accounting operations across multiple US entities
Ensure accurate and timely financial close
Support integration of recently acquired entities into accounting processes, chart of accounts, and reporting structure
Support external audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
Own balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
Drive system enhancement and optimization projects
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and data integrity
Coach, review, and mentor Staff and Senior Accountants
Partner with Treasury, AP, Finance, and business teams
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account analyses under US GAAP
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a multi-entity environment
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial close processes
Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and account schedules
Demonstrated experience supporting audits and compliance requirements
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Experience supporting acquisition integration and post-close accounting activities preferred
Experience with system implementations, enhancements, or accounting process optimization projects preferred
SAGE Intacct a plus
Prior experience mentoring or developing junior accounting staff preferred
Experience in a private-equity-backed or high-growth company environment preferred
