About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct unarmed interior and/or exterior foot and vehicle patrols
- Control access and egress at facility gates
- Manage traffic flow at gates
- Maintain access logs
- Monitor cameras and alarm systems
- Notify personnel of security issues
- Observe and report suspicious activity
- Maintain awareness of security and safety hazards
- Observe departing personnel to prevent theft of company property
- Warn violators of rule infractions
- Permit authorized persons to enter and monitor entrances and exits
- Compose reports and perform duties specified in post orders
- Work all posts and shifts at the assigned site
- Work Thursday through Saturday plus every other Wednesday, 4:00 PM–4:00 AM
Requirements
What you’ll need- Customer service experience
- Helpful team-player disposition
- Excellent computer skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a background check and 10-panel drug screen
- Must have a valid Guard Card
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 40 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varied temperatures and weather conditions
- Ability to work in elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
- Valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required
