About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct unarmed interior and/or exterior patrols
Control facility access and egress
Monitor closed-circuit televisions and alarm systems
Compose security reports and maintain access logs
Deter criminal activity and misconduct
Maintain awareness of surroundings and identify security concerns or safety hazards
Observe and report suspicious activity
Manage traffic flow at gates
Monitor cameras after normal working hours and notify DPR personnel of issues
Communicate security policies and issues
Distribute and enforce site and global standard operating procedures
Assist and train new staff on security systems, SOPs, patrols, post orders, etiquette, and customer service
Ensure client and company policies are followed
Support daily tasking and activities
Complete log and report write-ups accurately and on time
Meet KPIs outlined by the Site Lead
Oversee Site Security Officers and enforce disciplinary measures in accordance with Salute HR policy
Complete timesheet documentation in Field Service
Fulfill contractual and revenue expectations defined in the Client SOW
Complete assigned Talent LMS training courses
Adhere to Salute safety standards and client security/privacy practices
Work rotating night shifts Sunday through Tuesday with every other Wednesday, 4pm–4am

Requirements

What you’ll need

Current state-issued guard card
High school diploma or appropriate level of training per local jurisdictions
Ability to speak fluent English
Experience in customer service-related fields
Ability to handle stressful situations with tact, professionalism, and respect
Computer literacy with experience within the Microsoft Office suite
Basic CPR/AED/First Aid or BHV equivalent
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40 lbs
Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs
Ability to stand for long periods in various work environments
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment-related tasks
Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations
Ability to move quickly and efficiently within various work environments
Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
Clear vision, with or without correction
Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
Ability to work in a wide variety of facility temperatures
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to work in elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
Valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required
Clients may require an Unarmed Security Officer license as part of the SOW
Data center experience
Construction site security experience
