About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide high-quality health care services to young people detained at Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precinct
  • Deliver consumer-centred care that meets best practice standards and Barwon Health requirements
  • Provide quality consumer care using an evidence-based approach in consultation with the registered nurse and other healthcare team members
  • Support medication rounds at Cherry Creek under delegation
  • Work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team
  • Support health services including emergency response, primary care, integrated mental health, drug and alcohol services, allied health, general practice, and specialist medical care

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
  • Recognised nursing qualification
  • Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • High motivation and willingness to learn
  • Computer literacy
  • Commitment to organisational values and supporting young people
  • Satisfactory Police Record Check
  • Immunisation Status Clearance
  • Working with Children Check, if applicable
