About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide legal services to the firm’s clients across a range of matters
- Review documents and draft pleadings and other legal submissions
- Support negotiations and develop strategies to maximize case outcomes and mitigate risks
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal standards
- Act as a negotiator and dispute resolution professional
- Handle various stages of legal proceedings, from reviewing and drafting contracts to representing clients in judicial and administrative proceedings
- Perform and oversee legal advisory activities
- Ensure that commercial transactions, contractual arrangements, and privacy practices comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Manage and monitor a portfolio of judicial and administrative proceedings in coordination with clients
- Guide the review and development of pleadings and legal documents
- Prepare litigation and legal contingency reports using the firm’s systems
- Draft and implement legal instruments of varying complexity
- Assess risks, conduct legal analyses, and recommend legal alternatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Postgraduate studies in Civil Procedure, Labor Procedure, or Labor Law are a plus
- Specialization in Corporate Law, Contract Law, or Civil Law
- At least 6 months of experience at a law firm or in a corporate legal department
- Advanced knowledge of Civil Law and Civil Procedure
- Experience drafting pleadings and reviewing contracts
- Negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of civil and procedural law
- Legal research skills
