About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with multiple customers as a consultant and trusted partner in Injury Prevention, Systems Engineering, and Systems Integration
- Conduct physical demands analyses and ergonomic risk analyses across industries, jobs, production lines, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants
- Perform ergonomic assessments using standard analysis tools, industrial research methods, and Digital Human Modeling software
- Complete detailed technical reports for client delivery
- Identify and prioritize ergonomic risks using analysis results and engineering judgment
- Provide recommendations to reduce ergonomic risks and improve workplace ergonomics
- Perform digital human model assessments using Teamcenter, Process Simulate, Jack, Santos, UofM3DSSPP, PTC Creo, and Windchill
- Act as team lead on specified projects and activities
- Develop ergonomic specifications and standards through literature review, research, and ergonomic analysis
- Conduct workplace ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements and optimization
- Participate in innovation, recruiting, committee, mentorship, and community involvement activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 1-3 years of industrial ergonomics, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- B.S. or M.S. in Kinesiology, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors, Movement Science, Occupational Biomechanics, Ergonomics or a related discipline
- Associate Ergonomics Professional (AEP), Associate Ergonomist (AE) certification, or Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) is an asset
- Arm Field Force experience
- RCRA experience
- Willing to travel 50% depending on client site locations, mainly U.S., with possibility for global travel
- Must be able to work in various locations within assigned region
- Typical office and/or manufacturing plant floor environment
- May be required to work outside typical office hours to support client projects
- Ability to work independently with no or limited supervision
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Customer-facing representation and customer satisfaction focus
- Business communication experience, including formal presentations and professional reports/documents
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and work independently and with a team
- Working knowledge of NIOSH single and multi-lift equations, Liberty Mutual Tables, ACGIH HAL-TLV, RULA, REBA, and Digital Human Modeling
- Qualified and professional manner and appearance, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and pursue career advancement
