About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review P&IDs, layouts, isometric drawings, arrangements, and fabrication/assembly drawings
- Analyze the sizing, materials, specifications, and interfaces related to mechanical and piping systems
- Review MTOs, material lists, supports, valves, and piping components
- Verify consistency across documents and disciplines
- Identify and record nonconformities, inconsistencies, and clashes
- Interact with designers, engineers, suppliers, and other disciplines
- Work independently with critical judgment and technical accountability
- Develop mechanical and piping designs from the assigned scope through document issuance, without daily supervision
- Participate in field activities and occasional travel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in static and rotating equipment engineering within an engineering company or continuous-process industry (petrochemical, chemical, and oil and gas)
- Demonstrated autonomy in developing mechanical and piping designs from the assigned scope through document issuance, without daily supervision
- Experience with the full range of engineering project document preparation activities
- Ability to read and interpret multidisciplinary project documentation
- Availability for field activities and occasional travel
- Knowledge of applicable technical standards, codes, and engineering practices
- Experience with revision control, technical comments, and document release
